Suspected Drunk Driving Accident Injures Los Angeles Man In Pedestrian Accident

A suspected drunk driving hit a 23-yearold Los Angeles resident this past weekend. The Los Angeles pedestrian was walking along Aliso Beach. As a result of the accident, the victim was found with blood coming from his head. He was taken to Mission Hospital Mission Viejo with serious injuries.

If you have been injured in a drunk driving accident it is important to contact a Los Angeles drunk driving accident attorney to discuss your rights and help you obtain the compensation you deserve.

In drunk driving accidents, drivers may face two separate legal proceedings - one in the criminal court system and one in the civil court. Here, the driver will face criminal charges - he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving with bodily injury. He has one prior DUI conviction in 2005.

He may also be sued for civil damages as a result of the injuries occurred by the victim. Not only may DUI victims suffer serious physical injuries but their families may also incur significant economic losses as the result of time of work to heal from their injuries and a potentially diminished future earning capacity. It may be possible to recover compensation for these losses including medical bills, economic losses, physical pain and suffering, as well as mental anguish.

DUI Accident Causes Major Injuries

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that a 27-year-old Perris man is under investigation for causing a drunk driving accident after he crashed into the back of one car in Riverside, then drove the wrong way along the freeway, ultimately colliding head-on into another motorist.

The Perris man suffered major injuries and the motorists he hit suffered minor injuries. If you have been injured by a drunk driver, contact a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer immediately.

Physical injuries are not the only harm suffered in a DUI accident - additional damages may result from time taken off work and potentially diminished earning capacity, as well as pain and suffering and mental anguish.

Even where physical injuries are not readily apparent, it is important to seek medical attention right away - some injuries such as brain injuries or head injuries often don't show up until day, weeks or even months after an accident. Understanding the signs of a head injury is imperative to obtain a proper diagnosis and begin receiving treatment as soon as possible. Further, it is best to consult with a personal injury lawyer right away in order to preserve your legal rights and begin an investigation into the accident.

Hyde Park Drunk Driving Accident Ends In Tragedy

Los Angeles news from KTLA reports that a couple was killed New Year's Eve as the result of police chasing down a DUI suspect. The couple's family is now speaking out, criticizing police for chasing the driver. The family believes the LAPD is partly responsible for the accident.

If you have lost a loved one or been injured by a drunk driving accident, it is critical to contact an experienced Los Angeles personal injury lawyer attorney to discuss your options.

The incident occurred after the LAPD allegedly saw a man driving recklessly and then took off on in pursuit, causing the suspect to run a red light. The driver was on parole for a prior DUI.

While all the facts and circumstances are unknown, both the driver and the police conduct may be to blame for this incident. Drunk driving continues to plague our communities and efforts should be made to deter drivers from getting behind the wheel after drinking too much. However, the safety risks of police pursuits and high-speed chases make them a last resort to be used only when the benefit of apprehending a suspect outweigh the risks. Pursuing an already "reckless driver" through the streets of L.A. only increases the chances of a deadly accident. In fact, more than 2,500 people die and 55,000 people are injured annually due to high speed chases.
